To say that Mark Price stepped into a difficult situation at Charlotte would be an understatement.
After serving as an assistant coach for numerous NBA teams, Price became a college head coach for the first time prior to the 2015-2016 season.
He took over a Charlotte team that had finished 11th in Conference USA the year prior, so he knew the challenge ahead of him.
And despite the 10-17 record this past season, the 49ers got better thanks to Price. It may take a few years for him to get the program where he wants it, but he’s a great coach that knows what he’s doing.
We caught up with him for this episode of the Marching to Madness podcast.
