Marching to Madness Podcast: VCU head coach Will Wade interview

In Podcast by Blake Lovell

Will Wade is a rising star in the world of college basketball coaching.

After initially making a name for himself as an assistant under Shaka Smart at VCU, Wade landed the head coaching job at Chattanooga in 2013. Two years later, he replaced the departing Smart as the new head coach of the Rams.

Year one of the Wade era in Richmond was a total success. VCU won 25 games and nearly upset Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

The team’s success further cemented the fact that Wade is one of the best young coaches in the entire country, and the sky is the limit for him and the VCU program.

We had the chance to talk with Wade on our newest episode of Marching to Madness. It’s definitely worth the listen.
