The more I listen to UNC Wilmington head coach Kevin Keatts, the more impressed I am with him.
His coaching success is no secret. He made a name for himself by going 263-17 during his time as coach of Hargrave Military Academy, which included molding numerous future NBA talents. Of course, he took that a step further by winning a national championship at Louisville as an assistant under Rick Pitino.
So what does he do in his second year as head coach of the Seahawks? He takes them to the NCAA tournament and nearly leads his team to a first round upset over Duke.
We had the opportunity to chat with Keatts on the newest episode of Marching to Madness. A ton of outstanding knowledge in here from a guy that is a future star in the coaching business.
