Sonny Smith is a legend. He’s one of the most well-respected coaches in college basketball history, and for good reason.
He made his mark on the coaching profession during his time as head coach at Auburn, but he also spent the latter years of his career at VCU. Of course, his head coaching career started with a three-year stint at East Tennessee State.
Coach Smith currently works as an analyst on the college basketball circuit, and we had the opportunity to catch up with him on the newest episode of Marching to Madness.
He simply has a tremendous amount of knowledge, so this was yet another fine interview in our series. We discussed a wide variety of topics that college basketball fans all around the country could enjoy.
