Bob Cantu is the first active coach that we’ve had on the Marching to Madness podcast on more than one occasion.
We talked with Cantu way back in Episode 12 right after the NCAA title game, but at that point, he was still the associate head coach at UTEP.
But things have changed a little bit since then. Cantu is now an assistant coach at Portland under newly-hired Terry Porter, and the Pilots are a team to watch for in the West Coast Conference.
With the combination of Porter and Cantu on the bench, the sky is the limit for this program.
